    The best Oxford shirt

Kamakura is the best value if the fit works for you. Drakes is good but overpriced. Mercer is great quality but very, very boxy. My personal favorite is Bryceland's, made by Ascot Chang. Not cheap, but impeccable quality. The fit and details work well for my taste.

Kamakura Shirts - Madison Ave Store

I don't know the answer to your question, but often times finer (thinner) fabric is actually more expensive.

    Kent Wang - Affiliate thread

I have smelled them in person in New York. I have never ordered but I would say they are quite nice. They could perhaps do a better job describing them online.

    The Mr. Ned Appreciation Thread

Those coats look really solid. I have one suit and two pairs of odd trousers from Mr. Ned. I am happy with the trousers and think they are solid value. The suit, however, did not turn out great. The chest, back and waist are shaped nicely. The shoulders though are extended with some padding...

The CM Graveyard: First Sartoria Partenopea... next J. Crew?

I'm pleasantly surprised by the trousers, but the jacket looks way too short. It's definitely not the model!

The CM Graveyard: First Sartoria Partenopea... next J. Crew?

Ratio used to work with the Brooks Brothers factory in NC as well as Tom James / IS in NJ. I personally liked the BB shirts better, but alas those are the in the past. Now I believe it's Tom James only.

    Sartoria Corcos Consolidated Thread

Looks fantastic! I received my sport coat (commissioned on his first NYC visit in September 2018). It's beautiful, but the shoulder is slightly too extended. We'll adjust it when the world makes such luxuries possible again..

The MTM and Bespoke Trousers Thread

@Fraussie I like your selection of fabrics! I generally do the same thing for all my trousers: single reverse deep pleat, 2 inch cuffs, side adjusters, mid/high rise. For pants that are slightly more "casual," like the cavalry twill, I can see why you would consider flat-front. I think that...

Very excited to hear how it goes. Any idea who is actually making the knitwear?

    Kent Wang - Affiliate thread

I visited Aaron in New York to make a suit with Kent Wang in 2017. The fit was good in important areas (like shoulders and chest), though it needed some adjustments with length of jacket and sleeves. I had those alterations made by a tailor. I then commissioned a sport coat with Kent Wang in...

Kamakura Shirts - Madison Ave Store

I wish the MTM block fit me well! I've tried it twice. The construction and fabrics are better than makers like Proper Cloth and Ratio. But I'll be sticking to them for fit.

New Mercer & Sons Blue OCBD (15.5x34)

Brand new custom shirt from Mercer and Sons, a family-owned heritage American shirtmaker. Bruce Boyer loves this brand. Mercer makes classic cut that I chose to modify, but unfortunately it turned out too snug for me. They don't take returns on custom, so I'm listing it here. These shirts are...
