Watches for suits vs. Watches for casual

Some people say you can't wear chronometer with a suit. They only suit for jeans and t-shirts. Some people say you can't wear a strict two- or three-handed watches with casual clothes since they only fit for suits. Where is the truth? :) Where is the line between watches suitable for suits...

Does your wedding band match your watches?

I wonder how many people match the metal of their wedding bands with the metal of their watches.

    Creases on a doble-breasted suit

Could you tell me please why these crease tend to appear on a double breasted suit. It seems the buttoning of the middle button causes it. I assume If the low button was buttoned too there would be no creases.

    What's wrong with my neck?

Here is the problem. The collar doesn't stay. Collar stays won't help. I guess the cotton of this neck is much too soft, so it doesn't stay as needed. Is there a way to fix it? My tailor says she doesn't fix collars. Of course I can wear it this way but it is either a nerdy or hipster style...

    Morning suit vs. Tuxedo

I'm thinking of choosing a suit for my wedding. Inititally I thought of a navy business suit but now I suppose a morning suit and tuxedo would be a better option, a dressier one, yet it can hardly be reusabale later as opposed to navy suit. What are the pros and cons for the morning suit? What...

What color a groom should wear?

I always had this rationale: if a bride wears a white shirt than a groom should wear a cream or light grey suit since navy or charcoal would stand in bad contrast with a white dress. What's your take on this?

    Leather hole puncher

I have some leather belts that need some extra holes. This is the reason I'm going to buy a puncher. What one would you recommend? It seems the one with the red handle gives a better hole, more even and smooth. leatherpuncher.png (409k. png file)leatherpuncher1.png (374k. png file)

I hung my cotton sweater on the rack for several months and now found out a crack appeared in the shoulder area. Is there a way to fix it?

Sturdy sneakers. Is there such a thing?

Hi, Have you ever had a sturdy sneakers? I have a pair of Converse. They look cool yet they are bad in terms of quality. A couple of months of wearing ruins them all as opposed to leather shoes that can be worn much too longer. It is my first sneakers so I was suprised how slimsy they are.

    The Egyptian Cotton

I've bought a white dress shirt made of Egyptian cotton. What a crap I must say. It is impossible to iron. It has tons of small wrinkles. While you iron one part of the shirt some new wrinkles immediately appear on the other one. Many of them are so small and tough you can't even get rid of...

The art of wearing tan shoes with navy suits

What's your choice among these four statements if wearing navy suits? 1. You should never wear tan shoes with navy suits. 2. You should match tan shoes with tan belts. 3. You should not match tan shoes with a tan belt. Belt must me much darker. 4. You should not wear a belt at all if you wear...

    Minoxidil vs. Bald haircut

If you had a choice of using minoxidil everyday on one hand and a choice of having a bald haircut on the other what would you choose? I face this issue these days. It seems pretty bothersome to buy and rub in minoxidil two times a day for many years or maybe whole life. I also have a concern...

    Small irons

Hi, Could you suggest any small irons I've never seen before that can be used for ironing ‘difficult’ areas like the crotch area of wool trousers with inner lining, areas around seams, darts, collars on cotton shirts? Usual iron is too big for this intricate mission. It is impossible to iron...

    Press Cloths

Hi, Could you suggest any decent sites that sell nice pressing clothes for ironing? There are some pressing clothes on Amazon but they seem to be sort of noname. There are also some pressing clothes on Ebay but Ebay is a lousy site where people sell their useless second-hand stuff so I don't...

    Boldly facing the balding issue

I noted recently my hair started to recede on the top of my head. I luckily still don't have a bold spot but hair is not that dense as they used to be. It's a pretty disappointing news. How should one address this issue? What could you recommend? Here are my guesses in no particular order: 1...

    Lost opportunities

I found out recently that my ex boss I haven't seen and talked to for years finally made it. His share in the company he co-owns is estimated in several dozens of millions of dollars. I can't even imagine myself making such a sum being a simple hired worker. Many years ago we participated in...

    Ideas for roller?

I've read some information on OneBag and SkyRoller sites that brought me to an idea to put some sort of roller in my duffle bag to roll my suit or shirts on it. Do you have an idea where I could buy an item that would serve as a roller? I can't even imagine what it could be.
