Isaia Suit for Interview - contrasting buttons?

The buttons look like they are a dark gray mother of pearl/shell so I wouldn't truly call them 'contrasting' in that sense. In indoor lighting they'll look dark greyish blue so most wouldn't really notice them. Even if it is microcheck, again, it resolves to a mostly solid blue so I wouldn't...

Shoulder always too tight. Tips and dirty tricks for avoiding the tailor?

I don't think there's much you can do to your existing wardrobe which will make your frame fit into garments which don't have enough room for your build. For buying new items I think your only option is to find 'fuller' fitting models which have room up top which you would then take in the...

Tie color and purchase advice for black tie optional

You could do a dark purple tie given it's one of your University colors--the paisley one you reference probably could work. Unless you're at a very upper-crust university I don't think too many people will know all the fine details of BT/BTO so even if it's a little less formal than ideal you'll...

    John Lobb Appreciation Thread

I had a pair of shoes in Grape Misty Calf and I would say it's a very deep burgundy, bordering on purple hue which is quite nice. Definitely not *too* red!

Normally they're pretty good at responding in a day or so--you can probably follow-up and check in.

Great chance to grab yourself a pair of EG Galways if you're a UK9.5/US10 gents (my loss is your gain :rotflmao: ): https://www.ebay.com/itm/256329918806

Gaziano & Girling Appreciation & Shoe Appreciation Thread (including reviews, purchases, pictures)

I believe the fee waiver is only via an email order with the store/sales staff, not via the MTO tool online. If you've emailed the G&G email (i think it's the sales@G&G one in the emails) they should respond and get you sorted out. Additionally they do allow you to pay for 50% deposit (I did it...

Gaziano & Girling Appreciation & Shoe Appreciation Thread (including reviews, purchases, pictures)

I'd go with their recommendation of 9F (which I'm also the same in G&G). When I ordered my MTOs at the earlier trunk show in US they offered to make a pair of trial shoes (150 GBP I believe) so I could confirm fit before going through with the order; I'd recommend you do the same. G&G are a tad...

Proper Cloth: Are their Thomas Mason shirts worth it?

Haven't used a TM fabric from PC in a while but it all boils down to how well your PC shirts fit you--if they're a great fit for you and you want to upgrade your fabric, TM is one of the best they offer. I'm not sure if the goldline is worth the 100+ differential in price but that's up to you.

    Lacoste Polos

Not sure which internal tag you're looking at as some of them aren't showing the style number, but i believe only the 'classic' L 12.12 has the model name written as is; if you buy any other fit it is a different style number.

NYC MTM Suit / Shirts - Power Attorney Vibe

Similar to the recommendation above of Paul Stuart (they have RTW and MTM options) I'd say that Alan Flusser MTM may also be able to get you that quintessential power attorney look and in your price range.

The (hopefully) definitive thread on NYC tailors

Assuming you mean the adjustment for collar roll, Wazin does it all the time for me. I know some places are picky with wording as some would say the act of removing it is more so 'lowering' the collar/'shortening' the back and vice a versa if you need to raise it so perhaps making that...
