I also looked into some support groups for people with ET but decided against joining because seeing people whose conditions are way worse than my current state would **** me up mentally. Gotcha. Same here. As for kids and the potential for treatments/breakthroughs, it's definitely possible. My lease is up in June and I rented at the literal peak of the market last summer; even paid more than asking because of a stupid bidding war.
