Ambrosi Napoli Wool Double Pleat Trousers.
This is one of my only bespoke pairs from Salva that I don’t wear often. Unfortunately, I don’t have sport coats that go with them. Made from a heavy (16.5 oz) Holland & Sherry Twill that’s as dense as cavalry twill, but a bit brushed. Basically bulletproof. Unlined, but I’m quite sensitive to wool and these don’t bother me.
The color is a washed out tan, with elements of light brown, yellow, and cream. Goes well with brown.
Signature Ambrosi style, double pleat, on seam pockets, extended waist band, and interior buttons. Two back pockets and two front coin pockets. Interior curtain is insane handwork and plenty of seam allowance across different areas for alteration. The best bar tacks in the game.
These were delivered to me in late 2017, but I only wore them for a short time in the winter of 2018. Maybe 7 or 8 total wears, which is kind of depressing. They are basically brand new.
My double pleat pattern with Ambrosi is pretty forgiving. An actual high rise, full hip and upper thigh which narrows fairly aggressively towards the leg opening - Classic Armoury. Fit most closely to a non vanity sized 30. If you buy these you want them to fit a bit tight in the waist and seat at first, they will break in and stretch.
