The parka wears better than the Maxi coat in my experience. I have the Maxi in Owl and though it looks great, the parka is much more practical. (I have not worn the Maxi coat out though, so, take that for what it is worth.) They feel about the same weight, I would lean towards the Maxi as being heftier. I live in California and the jacket might be bit of an overkill for the weather here. I am sure with layering it will fair well in climates that see more rain. I have worn it a handful of times and like it opened or buttoned at the middle (the top spreads open beautifully like a lapel on a jacket). The material is cotton and it has an interior wool lining (I imagine the same type of cotton as current season). Two interior pockets. Nice big zipper pulls.
I can try to get some measurements tomorrow. Will also try to get some my own photos up. The sleeves has an interior storm cuff (ribbed/cinched), which I quickly realized was very cool detail. Your hands will still be able to function none to worry, the sleeve stays secure at the wrist. I am 5'9, if we are about the same height then the parka ends slightly passed the knees. I like the length for this type of outerwear. More or less like the model fit in the runway. I am pretty sure it is the exact same parka as shown in the FW14 runway (details will not be exactly the same as current year).
There is minimal sign of wear, and otherwise in pristine condition (no pilling in the interior wool lining). The cotton is stiff and treated so there will be minor creases from wear. Picked this up originally from Park.
Looking to sell it for $300 shipped in the U.S. (size and weight accounts for the postage). If you are really interested perhaps we can work something out. Let me know if you think of anymore questions. "
Measurements for the parka:
39" length
25.5" chest across (p2p)
23" shoulder (across from back, yoke)
35" sleeves (half back and down from shoulder seam)
