Francesco Smalto was a legendary Parisian tailor who once made clothes for the most succesful men of his generation. This jacket is one of those pieces, made to measure for a client in 1989, and similar jackets are rarely available.

According to the measurements, this jacket will best fit a size 48 man with some belly. Have a look at the measurements below.

The cloth feels like wool with some cashmere in the mix. It's soft and lovely.

The jacket has a loose fit, a Parisian lapel, strong shoulder structure, hand-padded lapels, hand-sewn lining, a tear shape inner pocket, two slanted breast pocket, two back vents, and a beautiful asola lucida buttonhole on the lapel.

The cloth is in perfect condition, there are no holes or rips or tears. The jacket has no smell or sweat spots. The only sign of wear is in the lining: it has come off in four places and must be mended. It will not be an expensive fix.

The sleeves have been lengthened at some point.

The exact measurements are: shoulder seam to shoulder 52 cm, shoulder seam to cuff 64 cm, armpit to armpit 64 cm, below the neck to hem 76 cm.

Similar grande mesure jackets made by Smalto cost some 4500 euros back in the old days.
