In Montecito for my daughter's high school graduation. Going to miss hitting Lucky's on the regular -- a great old-school steakhouse. The owner made his scratch from Lucky Brand jeans, hence the name. This is their "special" NY Strip, 14 oz prime Angus and just throw a bunch of Roquefort and demiglace on it. Tastes much better than it looks.

I acknowledge my furtive photography may not have portrayed the subject in the best light. Place is hella bougie and not conducive to like full insta food shot staging.

Have never had one there that wasn't cooked properly to order, so that's something.

Was going to mention to @Lizard23 that they are opening a NY location in Soho soon -- 224 Lafayette St. Will be interesting to see if they can compete in the big show?

Hawksmoor seems to be doing rather well in "the big show" as a transplant and I am a fan of theirs.

I have entered the life stage where I eat in the same 10 places or so all of the time and rarely try new restaurants. I probably miss out on some really great meals 10% of the time but prevent disappoint the other 90%. Also - being a regular is always a big plus. But for the spot you mention, I will make an exception :)

(the above mentioned math is totally made up but i bet its within a standard deviation of accurate in one direction or the other).
