We'll actually be getting the 3 makes first, and then the 2 waxed flesh boots a bit later - that was further delayed because of the snafu in cutting the uppers. Turns out, it was a mistake that propagated in the tagging, and no one, myself included, caught it until really late in the game. I really apologize for all the hangups in this order. There are now better protocols in place to make sure that this doesn't happen again.

Thanks for the update, Fok. Any intuition as to how long "a bit later" might be? Not needing anything specific so much as trying to anchor my expectations. Maybe another month? Two months?

It's the tags that tell the factory what exactly to make. The tags are generated from the order. The order was mis-transcribed, or rather, they assumed that we wanted white stitching and a pull tab, because we had that on all of our other waxed flesh orders, and no one, myself included, caught this. It's like that comedic situation when the soccer ball goes between the feet of 5 defenders and the goalie knocks himself out on the goalpost while trying to block the shot.

I'm going to hope for a month. But I can tell you that Glen was not happy with having to redo 18 uppers.

Apparently a couple of weeks. The 3 pairs of tan bison are cut, and sewn, but I dunno how far beyond that they are (they could be in the finishing stages, they could still need to be lasted - I just don't know.)
