Well, anyway, whatever, I find it a bit difficult to deduce something from two or three garments of a brand.

I still very much enjoy my old Cameramans and Mallorys. Although, at this point I wish I had bought them one size up back in the day 😅 The Mac/HT Cameraman really isn’t a winter coat. I find it’s a perfect coat for 45F/7C dreary weather. I wore mine all over Chicago in the rain yesterday (plus umbrella) with a wool shirt under, and it was great. I also have a heavy linen burlap Cameraman that I love, but have oddly never worn.

I just had my three Mallorys (2 HT, 1 heavy linen) let out in the body a little after having them take in years ago. I’ve almost outgrown all of them in the shoulders, but I’ll see just how long I can wear them!

Did anyone here grab the army green cashmere Duffle in size 52 from Corniche?

It was at the top of my dream list.

Looks like Corniche was the only place that had it in army green.

It's fun reading through ancient threads... I have this, and the blue one.

Hi Ethan, nothing personal, but commercial advertising is the last thing this thread needs in my opinion. But everyone's mileage might vary. At least I am out.

Hi, I understand it’s nothing personal but we are a two person business trying to make a living as a business as an outlet.

It’s my first post on the thread since January, plus we pay for the right to post as a sponsor of styleforum, without the sponsors the site would not be able to run. Thus there would be no thread for you. A commercial post from a small business promoting Nigel Cabourn is a very small thing I feel.

But thank you for your feedback though and we will keep the posts to a minimum.

I am happy for you to post whenever you want to bring to our attention the fact that you have items that may be of interest. Like you said the forum runs on sponsorship and you are a sponsor.

You have a point there. And maybe my posting was a tad unfair then. So no hard feelings.
Besides, I realize there are other, also smaller businesses here promoting their products here as well.

I have the blue one and wish I'd been more bold and bought the orange.

It's a beautiful thing and supremely practical.
If I was younger I'd be sure all the girls would fancy me when I was wearing it, and the sizing is such that they could get in it with me.

I don't really buy much these days - mostly because I loaded up back in the day.

Nearly everything I bought is still in service, generally looking better for age.

I have shirts that are over a decade old and still going strong.

The brand has obviously changed, but for a few years it really did produce some high quality stuff.

(And a cameraman is designed to be layered surely?
And edited to add the Mallory / Tenzing tweed jacket is my absolutely favourite jacket, suitable for 3 seasons in the UK with correct sizing and layering.)

Just uploaded the video I made 2 weeks ago when I visited Nigel in his studio in Newcastle. Pretty much only Nigel, as he is a champion talker! I think there will be plenty to interest and dissect for the long-term followers of Cabourn, as I tried to get a good few bits and pieces down on video.

All three came up on Marrkt. I jumped on the green, thinking it would be usable and different. The orange also sold immediately. The blue languished for a couple of months, until I relented and bought it. Never thought I'd own one, let alone two, and even on Marrkt it was a bit of a stretch. Though nothing like the 3 grand they were new. Only 30 in each colour were made though, so nice and rare!

Did you trade your Army Green Smock Everest Parka for an Antarctic Parka?
