Hey all,

I remember I posted this a year or so ago. But just a reminder as I know some will make use of. I made a page of links of EG stockists that I keep updating @ http://cl.ly/EYVE.

I just added a option so anyone can submit a link to grow the list.

Enjoy! :)

I love you.

Hi,

I got a ss13 popover blue madras delivered at the weekend.

This one:

https://www.thebureaubelfast.com/shop/644/navywhitered-madras-plaid-popover-shirt

It's a beautiful fabric, really really lovely.
Got a size small and I take a small/medium in all my EG, but this is an enormous small, really billowy.
I almost feel convinced that it is a medium with the wrong size tag.
I have another popover from ss11 in a small and it fits so much better.
Does anyone know where or if I can get an XS (not Japan), or alternatively, does anyone have any experience of getting a popover altered (darted?)?

Thanks

Received my [first] Bedford a couple days ago. Khaki cotton pique. Simply an amazing jacket! [Thank you Gary!!!!] Also received Truman pants in navy broken twill and Truman shorts in Indigo denim. The Truman bottoms have a lovely fit - tapered towards the ankles which is starting to become a regular thing now for EG. If you dont mind the little pleat, it's a great piece to add if you have a truman jacket.

how does the cotton pique compare to the broken twill? I have the navy broken twill Baker but was looking at the pique Bedford but haven't handled that fabric before.

I just got my first Engineered Garments piece, the navy corduroy type 5 jacket, from Tres Bien today. I’ve been a fan of EG for a while now, but never got around to pulling the trigger. It’s surprisingly light weight, which is good for me. I’m a few inches shorter than their model and I sized up to a large, so it’s not all cropped like it looks in their shots. The fit is great, though maybe a touch long in the sleeves.

Anyways, I’m impressed, and hopefully I’ll be able to pick up a cotton pique Bedford if I can scrap together the funds. I’m curious as to what the pique fabric is like as well…

Nice pick-ups Knight! Where did you get the navy truman pants - direct from Nepenthes? Haven't seen them many places. Thinking about getting some to go with my navy Truman jacket. Although I might actually go with the indigo cotton/linen denim version rather than a matching suit.

Thanks mate :) the heather blue cotton or the ecru would look really nice with your jacket. I got the indigo denim shorts, vest, and the jacket too. I got the navy Truman pants from a place in Hong Kong called Delstore. Ask for Derrick he's really helpful.

Someone asked about comparing broken twill to cotton piqué. Ill try my best. Broken twill is quite fuller than the piqué, the twill also has sort of a sheen to it (subtle). Piqué is a lot lighter and woven differently to broken twill. It's got a natural crease to it as well which adds another layer of appeal to its garment. They're not alike whatsoever. I apologise if this doesn't help. I would call Gary Drinkwater because he will give you a more accurate explanation.
