Who is Greg Proops? Another fashion blogger? Why should anyone care what he thinks? I guess I should google him to find out but I don't care enough.

I have a pair I've never been confidant enough to wear, but since Greg Proops (the world's least funny comedian) hates them I'll give them a second look.

White linen trousers are quite common in the UK - not my choice at all but I cannot agree with the OP's condemnation.

+1. They are a spring/early-summer only article. They can look very nice when worn with a nice pair of loafers with no socks and a dress shirt. Great combo!

I agree. He's a complete idiot. As long as your sphincter muscle works, white is fine. I am going to wear more white pants than ever before just to spite him.

Anyone old enough to remember that he was a comedian is also old enough to ignore his advice.

Never heard of him before, but the interview with Proops suggests that the guy has a lot of pesonal style. That's what gave me pause.

I made no condemnation - I was just asking what you all thought of this. I wear white and cream linen during the summer myself and have never thought anything of it.

Prestomp does it well. I don't think it would look quite as fresh if the pants (jeans?) weren't white:
