Here’s an update from Brett himself on the shipping problem:Have you received your order yet? I find myself in a similar situation, having ordered a pair of Upland boots on Jan 6 and not receiving a Canada Post update yet.
Generally speaking all the boot lasts have the same arch length so yeahSize 1035 the same as 2030?
Who's going to resole the sneaker from Viberg? The sole is falling apart after a year. It looks like Baker's Boot won't repair sneakers?
Not sure how relevant it is, but seeing as how you haven’t had a reply yet I figured I’d share.Highly opinionated question - do you fellas find Viberg CXL service boots "worth it" in the long run? I've shied away from CXL on quality footwear (think the last pair I had was a limited run of Chippewas) but I've got a hankering.
Welcoming of all thoughts and opinions from those with more experience than myself.
I only have one pair of Viberg and they're brown CXL. I definitely think they're worth it, mine are 2 years old worn regularly and holding up great. Not sure how relevant it is, but seeing as how you haven’t had a reply yet I figured I’d share.
I had the same question a few months back and ended up grabbing a pair of Oak Street Bootmaker service boots in natural CXL over a pair of Vibergs because they were literally a quarter of the price.
Now, there’s some quality control issues on the boot, and I’m starting to regret not going with the Vibergs, but one thing I don’t regret is the CXL.
It’s my first pair of boots in the leather and I always assumed it was a lower tier leather after the hundreds of videos and reviews I I’ve seen with loose grain and the “grain lottery”, but I saw that Oak Street had good clicking and the CXL on these is gorgeous. The colour is amazing, there’s no loose grain, the pull up looks great, it shines easily with a simple brush, and it’s soft and smells great.
It might be one of my favourite leathers in the end. And I’m still considering getting a pair of Vibergs in it.
