Im convinced it was designed to thin out the population of heel draggers like me. I have been lucky so far.

Vintage Florsheim’s are well built to say the least.

When I saw these in the thrift store today I thought they were Trickers Stow. They turned out to be made in Romania, couldn't find a brand label.
They would have cleaned up nicely but weren't my size.
