As a sidewalk find this doesn't quite rate with some of what @impuntura comes up with, but it was on the sidewalk across the street from a criminal courthouse in San Francisco when I picked it up. Maybe somebody didn't want to go through a metal detector with it. Anyway, it seems to be a collector's item because the designer, Ken Onion, is a legend in knife circles.

The mechanism works effectively like a switchblade but somehow it's not illegal because technicalities. I don't need a switchblade so it's on its way to Australia.
