The way RRL sizing has been who knows... I've had XL's measure close to my old Large's and new Large's measure close to my old XL's.
I suspect it will be on the bigger side given it's supposed to have a relaxed-ish fit going off the Lookbook, but we don't know if the models wore a size up.

no idea, but what's the chance he is reselling factory seconds?

Looks like they're factory seconds, or stuff that was rejected once delivered. There's also another seller from India (that's probably the factory RL uses) selling seconds quality leather jackets/bags.

I wear medium and everything and usually that size is perfect, except on the slim western shirts; sometimes they're a bit too snug. Nordstrom had this in large and I thought I'd take a chance. For any that have this or have tried it, do y'all think, based on my experience with mediums, that I'd be swimming in this in a large?
I think you'll be swimming in it. I'm a L/XL in RRL outerwear. I tried on the L in that jacket and it was wearable but felt a bit snugger than ideal. Tried the XL and it was too big.

I wear a medium in all RRL shirts, like the 3 dozen I have, and have this in a medium and it fits well. You may not swim in a large, but if you’re not wearing a sweatier or something bulky under it, I think you’ll find it too big

Interesting. Seems @gnatty8 and @zippyh both went tts. Upon advice from a rep, I downsized to a small. Its currently out on the UPS truck for delivery so I can update if that was the right choice later today. We all know sizing inconsistency is part of the RRL fun…

Well it does fit a bit larger than TTS, I can wear a sweater underneath mine. That said, if you are a M and want a snug fit, the S might work, but I tried the S and M and chose the medium.

@gnatty8 I agree. The small makes for a trim fit. Definitely not a lot of room to layer. I think the overall cut is sort of squared up and boxy. Slimming down may help, but I am sort of torn on the cut as a whole. I wanted to like it more than I currently do.

I agree, feels too dandy. Those types of fake-ish western-ish boots work well with tailoring, if the styling is right for them. Either a very slim leg or a semi-flare. I think the RRL aesthetic is too far down the burly heritage end of the spectrum. I'm all for mixing along the spectrum but if the rest of the fit was all RRL and only the boots were SLP I'd say it probably wouldn't work. But worth a try.

I wear Lucchese Classics and the Suede Plainview with RRL...and I'd say Lucchese actually seem more RRL-y than the RRL Plainview, purely because the heel is quite narrow, similar to the SLP boots. The older version of the Plainview boot had a more typical western walking heel, which is more what I think of when I think of a cowboy boot.

From memory these weren't super heavy. Very comfortable though, but too wide for my liking.

Yup I was thinking the only thing would work ish is slim in black (and no slim narrow for me that’s way too slim)

I don’t have much RRL, save maybe 1 or 2 tops it’s 99% jeans, the suede still feels too “nice/luxury” almost like have to purposely beat it up first (and color is kind on the warm side)

On the field chino
Yea the measurements on field chino has 8.25in leg opening, not the widest but definitely on the wider side for a straight fit these days.

Most of my boots are Chelsea or side zip so too sleek for that, think would need an Alden PTB type of thing (I only have a definitely too sleek for this CJ PTB, and rest are Oxford because I’m still suit most weekday) or work boot/Indy etc, but too lazy for lace up boots these days…
