I know someone who used to work at Filson and he'd hook me up with cool stuff.

I foolishly passed when they had a few pieces like this one at an extra good price.
Great stuff. I had a Filson friend too for awhile, but mostly have a collection of bags and luggage that won’t ever die even if I find myself wanting something new. The Filson guarantee can be a prison sentence of sorts. Ive busted a wheel on a rolling duffle in Paris and torn the strap off a rucksack in Sicily. They fix or replace always, no questions asked.

Any thoughts on this suede shirt? Wait for it to go on sale after Christmas?

Private sale (30% off a lot of products) has started in Europe (got an invite by email). Haven't bought anything recently with some things going on in life, so I'm contemplating how much I'm going to splurge.

In France,

- since september, i spent more than 2,5K on french website on the last collection and don't have received any email about private sales.
- since september, i spent 0 euros in store (but i usually buy a lot) and SA from St Germain offered me 20% (and some nice gifts) on RRL and PL during black friday.

I don't think website and stores share the same client database. They should.
Really i don't know how they works but i am sure they can improve it...

Eh, Stag is no worse than most retailers. For RRL they usually just include the inadequate measurements for the RL site. At least they take a stab at providing a subjective "fits big" or similar recommendation.

Blue Owl and Snake Oil Provisions are good at providing measurements. Also Mr Porter and End.
I’ve actually had pretty good experiences with stag. They at least provide one reference pt measurements-wise, have good sales, ship reasonably quick, and usually you can return things.
On that last point… that’s why I rarely order from Blue Owl- no refunds ever. Even if you buy an item at full price it’s exchange or site credit.

I got a question for everyone with a large RRL denim collection like I seem to have amassed. I used to have them all hanging by the belt loops but ran out of room and now the majority of them are folded. They're raws mostly and brand new. I know its dumb to buy and not wear but I stumble across deals I can't pass up on and here we are.

How does everyone store theirs? Is it no big deal that they're folded? I had an SA say thats how the store and he himself does it and its no big deal but I'm wondering what everyone thinks since I always hear something different.

I imagine the time era these denims are modeled after and kinda chuckle at the idea of those guys babying their jeans, ha.

Folded and stacked.

I think as long as they're not exposed to sunlight it doesn't really matter (unless you want those sick horizontal sun fades /s).

Folded and stacked. Thats how they show up new, and it seems to work. As long as they are in a cool dry place they should be fine

Alright cool, that's exactly how I have my backup pairs. I also got some in a tote at the bottom of my closet with some cedar blocks in there for good measure.
