Thanks for the pointer, at the risk of sounding picky that one is a bit more worn than I'd like. If anyone is selling theirs (apart from the camo and beige ones) with less signs of wear please reach out. I'm willing to pay a fair price.

Just returned to LA from NYC this morning.

My inner monologue heading to the Armoury Upper East: "Just see if they have black suede gloves. Don't buy anything else! No more sportcoats!"

At Armoury. No black gloves except formal calf. Fine.

"Oh my. I love this Ring Balloon Model 3. But they never have it in my size. I'll just ask, then when they say no I won't feel like I've missed out."

They have it. Looks great. Nice suppression. Nice shoulder. I buy it. Crap.

"Maybe Leffot has gloves. But if I'm going down there I'll go to Armoury Duane first and work my way back up."

Armoury Tribeca. No gloves. But man that polo is a nice brown color. I wonder if I would like the fit. I do. I buy a polo....and a book. Crap.

Get to Leffot. They do have black reindeer suede gloves in my size! They are on sale! Sweet redemption!

Moral of the story: The Armoury is dangerous. But at least I have a sweet Ring jacket coming.

Well, think about it as a protection against future price increases / inflation. Therefore you’re making money. It’s almost like it paid for itself. And you got gloves on sale. Nypd should be looking for you for the amount of money you avoided paying!

This is precisely why I'm lucky that I don't live in New York and I only get to go there twice a year. My wallet would be so much more empty if I had unrestricted access to that stuff.

Nice jacket. Actually tempted to try something similar (I think it's called gun club?), maybe something more grey and blue, probably in Model 11 or 15. My first few sport coats are solid, so I'm considering getting something with checks for the next one.
