Considering it’s only 8% of my collection, I think “only” is acceptable😜It's kind of funny to read "only 6". That's still a lot of one model if you really think about it. Sure, we don't have 97 like Strand King, but 6 is still a lot for the average guy on here.
I also just realized I have 8 variations of the Strand if you count the Bartlett, Rush St, & Strandmoks. The most recent one I regret missing was the Tinsel Ave. I just couldn't justify $395 on them though.

Correct, though I actually checked and apparently I’ve passed a few along…“…they did the math”:
6 X
— — = 75
8 100
I’m just getting to the point in my journey where I may be starting to think about a slight reduction. It’s not easy.Correct, though I actually checked and apparently I’ve passed a few along…

I hear ya... I am considering selling my cherry and denim Neumok pairs. They are both barely worn, but they tend to slip a bit too much on my feet and thus don't get much wear.I’m just getting to the point in my journey where I may be starting to think about a slight reduction. It’s not easy.
Per my spreadsheet I’ve owned 105 all in. It’s the average cost per pair and total purchase amounts that shock the world.I’m just getting to the point in my journey where I may be starting to think about a slight reduction. It’s not easy.
I need to clear a few out…I’ve got done basically never wear pairs that just take up space and make me try to wear them. But when they are less than ideal fit (Randolph, Landshark) or are unbearably noisy I just do not enjoy such obligations. Luckily most are good.I counted yesterday, and I believe I'm down to 37 AE shoes now. I sold a few recently that would never see the light of day again. I also have a 2007 chili Delray up for sale, but kind of want to keep it. But the problem is, I know I'll almost never wear it.
I went with the Bartlett today. This was one that Jason found for me. View attachment 2030111
I have some more questions about lasts. I found a really great post from 2020 about the Polo and Shelton models (https://www.styleforum.net/threads/...clothing-accessories-etc.655643/post-10237685), which refers to a 674 (4) last. I thought the 4 last was short for the 234. Did a 674 last really exist? If so, does anyone have a description of 674? And does "4" refer to 234 or 674?
I also found a description of the 42N last, which says, "This is a variation on the 42 last. All characteristics are the same but..." However, I can't find a description of the 42 last. Does anyone have a description of the 42?
