Anyone based in the northern VA / DC area use a tailor for MTM? I’m nervous to diy myself with my wife’s help…. Just wondering if anyone would make a recommendation.

The MTM stuff is a little scary but I’ve accepted off the rack isn’t great for me anymore. I just want a pro to help me

**** me up.

This looks so cool, I'm gonna be just like Paulie Walnuts drinking espresso in Napoli, or the deadshit brother in The Godfather.

With my navy hopsack SB jacket from LBM Sartoria no longer fitting due to my recent weight loss (and running just a touch short in length anyways), and with nicer weather coming soon (I hope), and with my heightened interest in DB jackets, I decided to pull the trigger on this hopsack navy 4x2 DB as a replacement for this spring/summer...the price was great with stacked discounts (about 43% off)...got the last one in my current size:

This just landed and I could not be happier. It really is quite nice. For the price paid...unreal value. I won't bore you with pics until I get the sleeves done (I have slightly short arms and a drop shoulder on one side...my tailor thankfully has it all figured out for sleeve alterations). Will post pics when it is fully done!

Does anyone know the fabric mill that S&M uses for their standard linen suiting? The basic, heavyweight linen.

Is anybody able to compare Kent Wang's cardigans to S&M by chance?
Sure, I have one of both in 100% wool. Very different. KW's is extremely trim fitting to the need of sizing (I have an XL) up but then it just feels like an old man sweater, it's also very scratchy and rough. But made quite well. Wool is a melange, which I like.

S&M is soft and smooth, goes well w/ jeans or w/ wool trousers. Wool is a uniform color. Feels more like a hoodie than outerwear due to the texture and comfort (KW feels a bit more like outerwear - I don't want it close to the skin). Construction is fine, haven't noticed any issues (and I do on some S&M stuff). I went w/ an M which is about TTS for me (I'm M/L, 42R).

Planning to sell my KW cardigan. I like oversized and old man things, but this one doesn't feel right to me.
