Tempted by these EG vans. I like that they're slip ons but w/ the lace option. Any other opinions to sway me one way or the other? Anyone who has the old slip ons still wear them, or do they wind up in the back of the closet? Any recommendations b/t all-black and all-off white?

I picked up a pair of the black and whites - they're super comfy, I'd say more so than my pair of slip on's from 2018/7 (can't remember which year but it was the last vault version). They have the gor elastic so can function as slip-on's which is how I've been wearing them. Can't wait to get them cooked and how the suede/smooth leather change tone.

I went with my usual vault slip-on size (11.5) which is .5 down from my regular vans size (12) and they fit perfect.

I also grabbed the white ones, which IMO is the best color (murdered out black is also good, but I don’t like the black/white and brown/white, mostly because the white asymmetric shoe lace hole rings contrast weirdly to me).

They slip too much to wear without laces for me, but otherwise fit great at .5 size down, which is my typical vault size. Only other thing of note is that the heel is higher than other vans I have, more like an AF1 height. Not sure if that’s just a standard vault era thing though.

My old white/offwhite EGVans are my most worn shoes, evidenced by the fact there are holes in both bottoms and they still get trotted out daily. Very comfy, goes with anything, gets weird looks from people who think you wore one wrong shoe, etc.
