Qobuz to iTunes?

I realized that I'm not listening to much unless it is on YouTube and would like to improve quality plus make it more portable. I'd tried having a ton of CDs ripped to hard drive, but it never seems to come out well for easy use. And there is the question of putting it on iPhones, iPods, etc.

So now I'm trying Qobuz. In addition to higher quality on the zeroes and ones, there seem to be a bunch of apps for making it possible to flip subsets of your downloaded collection over to Apple devices. Is there one particularly good at this? My main concerns are being off the grid and not able to stream something, and also having favorites teed up for playback, on whatever format.

I'm a Tidal/Roon user, but I don't go very deep. Any rate, I'm curious why you want to 'flip subsets of downloads over to Apple devices.'? Why not simply play it from your phone--if it's downloaded it won't matter if you're off the grid. I'm missing something, I guess.

Roon truly upgrades the streaming experience and I imagine it would for Qobuz as well. And you're right, ripped libraries are a big hassle. But Roon is great at integrating ripped discs into your library; that said, I dumped a bunch of ripped drives and only rip discs that aren't available on Tidal.

The imagined sequence would be to download an HR file, then keep it on a hard drive or in the cloud somewhere. Many devices can read directly from a flash drive, so no problem. But often it is convenient to have an iPhone to listen to or pipe into a car system.

Thanks. Might spend part of he summer trying this, or renting a conservatory student who is fluent in this operation. More and more digital sources will take thumb drives directly, but those that don't will need something like an iPod, iPad, or iPhone to call the shots. An ethernet hookup from my laptop will also work on home audio setups, but is impractical on cars and boats, for example.
