Now that No Man Walks Alone has launched their webstore let's get the ball rolling on some group MTOs

To start off anybody interested in a shell austerity brogue boot as shown in Greg's photo here?

Sounds like a good idea although, at the risk of sounding like I'm being overly pedantic, it's not a brogue boot, as brogue refers to the punch detailing that you see on certain shoes. By definition, an austerity-style shoe can't have brogueing as the "austerity" refers to the fact that it's plain, without the brogueing.

It is, however, a blucher boot, as it has open laces, as opposed to a balmoral boot, which has closed laces.

Thanks Stevent for starting this thread. I'm very interested in the ideas that will come out of it. I'm going to weigh in with my personal opinion as well. I am enameled with Vass's medium suede right now so some ideas with suede would be cool to read.

Btw, the boots in the OP were not shell but box calf. I'm not sure if you knew that but the wording wasn't super clear so I thought I'd clarify...

Interestingly, I'd never heard such a style called an austerity brogue before. I'd only heard the style referred to as an austerity wingtip.
