I've tried championing the very issue at the heart of what compelled you to start this thread in the Shoe Pron threak because it is not being used for it's intended purpose. But the powers that be informed me that it has become a "catch-all" and that I need to just "roll with it". Von Rothbart would roll in his SF grave.

But such is the nature of the fora nowadays. I bet you could start a thread regarding button boots and it will turn into a "why chicks shouldn't wear booty shorts" threak. The old days are done and gone. We either roll with it or get rolled over.

The premise of this thread was not adequately explained to the people.

Plato got it right: Education is a painful process of dragging people, kicking and screaming, out of the cave into the light.

We shouldn't forget that this process is painful to the dragger as well as the dragged.
