how is the tasso elba brand?

How does tasso elba compare to CK or Guess or similar brands? Are their dress shirts/casual shirts good quality? Is it a reputable brand?

Can't say about the shirts, but I have a Tasso Elba cashmere tie that is easily one of my favorites. Considering I paid less than $20 for it, it is an incredible value.

Tasso Elba is Macy's house brand. It's pretty low end, but slightly better than the cheap house brands that Macy's carries. It's better fabrics and slightly better fits than Alfani. Shirts fits are still quite baggy for slim guys. The fabrics aren't too bad, but nothing great. I can't think of a comparable brand, but it's a smart idea not to buy any tailored clothing from Macy's. It'll either be way overpriced for the quality (Hugo Boss), or just plain awful (Alfani). The list of Macy's brands is available here. I think it's missing Alfani. My knowledge of Macy's brands is a few years old, so things may have changed. I can't find anything worthwhile to buy from there anymore so I don't shop there.

They used to have a passable collection of ties (although the last time I checked, those ties were starting to look fat and ugly). But otherwise, they are mostly crap.

I had one... it was okay but not great... pretty comparable to most department store ties.

I have a chocolate gingham shirt from them that I wear all the time. It's not the best quality, but it costs next to nothing to slim it up when I come to Korea, so it's been well worth the expense.

I just picked up two for $9.99 each, Tasso Elba too. Macy's will, on occassions, really deep-discount their clearance stuff.
