Beautiful coat. I've been struggling with the whole white sock thing for some time, it looks great here. I really like the "dress" jeans, I've got a similar pair of pleated and cuffed jeans from Paul Stuart and a custom pair in ghurka style in a much darker raw denim. I find people are sometimes very vocal about me being overdressed even if I'm wearing a sport coat and shirt with no tie, but when I put a pair of denim pants on suddenly everything is fine. Tie, hat, pocket square, go for it, in their heads denim means casual no matter what else is going on. I don't pretend to understand it.Speaking of white socks. This was my first time giving this a try. Socks are white dress socks from Uniqlo not gym socks. We gave the SAT today so I dressed down a bit in jeans and a sport coat.

Feels like it needs a tie. I think it's the cut of the shirt.
It definitely is the shirt. I’m not a big fan of spread collars worn open but my casual white shirts are limited to summer weight stuff until my next shirt order is finished in June or July with some casual button downs and one piece collar stuff.Feels like it needs a tie. I think it's the cut of the shirt.
