I'm thinking suit and shirt stripes are too close in size here... looks strange

I had considered the scale of the stripings being close, but had thought that the values (i.e. relative darkness/lightness) of them, and the contrast levels (low for both shirt and suiting, their stripes against their background, and high between shirt material and suit material) would mitigate this - perhaps not, to some eyes, but thanks for the honest reaction.

Coat seems a bit formal for the trouser/shirt combo. Is that coat part of a suit?

I think both shirt and coat sleeves could be 1/4 - 1/2 inch longer, but it's not bad as it is.

Here's a once in awhile post for me:

Cool looking suit! I'm going to get a DB sport jacket when it cools down this fall.

Maybe do a James Bond/Bogart imitation...
