Wearing the Brown CXL Country Derbies again today. A little surprised they are on final sale. What a beautiful shoe. Every time I put on a pair of Grant Stone shoes I'm again amazed at the quality, build and craftsmanship of the product.

I would grab a pair of while you still can!

Diesel boot in coffee suede is out there in my size, but not nuts about the sole, have to weigh the sole vs the leather..plus have someone replace the sole with leather might cost as much as the boots.....First world problems......

I would love an Edward boot in chocolate suede on a leather sole.

Somehow I missed out entirely on the whole maduro shell runs. Is there a planned restock coming up?
would love to get 1 pair of maduro shell loafers, any chance Grant stone can make it unlined and lighter? have the honey shell traveler and they are a little too heavy/chunky for summer loafers (very solid construction yes, but not for the more leisure occasions.)

I also find that the alexander last quite generous, definitely more room than Alden's van last in the same size.
This is what is keeping me from purchasing the loafers and the chelsea boot... the sizing advise I got is 9D for the Alexander and UK last. I'm 9.5D on Leo and it's a good, hugging fit in the forefoot. I'm afraid that if I size down to 9D it won't be comfortable. (Need to size down for the instep to be secure)

I think sometimes makers should make 2 different last for loafers, 1 for the high arched and 1 for the flat feet crowd, fitting these 2 types of feet with 1 last can be a mission impossible.

P.S. making the sole lighter and more flexible can also help the heel slip issue when ppl wear the new loafers, the big, thick and solid sole do makes it more durable, but a slim/flexible sole is more consistent with the nature of loafers.

e.g. an unlined loafer with flex sole in shell would take a unique spot in the market as Alden have ended their contract with BB and no longer makes unlined LHS

I think they are working on an unlined loafer!
