I've ridden both extensively and prefer the Specialized tbh. The multi-density and shape of the Mirror Power works much better for me

Really? I appreciate the heads up.

One reviewer said the Mirror is too squishy - like unstable squishy. Doesn’t sound like you agree.

Is it a massive difference?

I would say the Adaptive is too hard still and the shape isn't as ergonomic as the Mirror. The position is trickier on the Argo as well since it needs to be just slightly nose up at the tip. I don't think the Mirror is too squishy at all, it's still supportive when going hard and sitting farther up on the nose whereas the Adaptive put too much pressure with the slight nose up and not enough give.

How many times does this need to happen before they stop celebrating before the line?

So crazy!

I can see where that comes from but that squishiness only applies when you first feel the saddle in the hand or that initial ride. It doesn’t feel like that once I started riding.

This spring I’ve been going back and forth between the Mirror and a traditional saddle on different bikes. They are both comfortable and I don’t feel like the Mirror is softer or less supportive while riding. The 3D mirror cups the sit bones but offers the same support between those points of contact. If it were slightly less expensive I’d get another one for both bikes.

Hit up a trail system that I hadn't been to before...now I regret sleeping on it for so long. It is closer to a 50 minute drive which just kept me from ever checking it out.

Basically a techy downhill area. Built with shuttling in mind via a well maintained forest service road (though I pedalled it). Lots of cool rock rolls and stuff like that combined with loamy and loose singletrack. I'm not sure on the exact status of the area with the FS (there's some tacit acceptance but it is unsanctioned) so everything is natural and trails are just burned in...no real tool use besides clearing downed trees. I didn't get to ride everything, but there's definitely some wild stuff hidden in there...I'm sure that there are also some super gnarly rock features and stuff that aren't part of actual trails and are just ridden by people who know where they are.

Honestly, I liked it better than my local freeride trail system (no shuttling, but similar setup of road climbs followed by downhill only trails). That system has a lot of machine cut trails and everything is benched and dug down to hard dirt/clay. That means lots of jumps, berms, and constructed features and an ability to stand up to heavier ridership...but there's something so cool about natural singletrack, loose tech, mossy rocks, etc. Wish it were a little closer as I'd love to do after-work laps there.
