Fit check - mtm jacket

Hi all

I was very happy with the fit of the pictures jacket, which I had made recently, until someone told me the shoulders were too wide and that they should be set around 1cm narrower.

Should I get it altered, or is this simply the style of the cut?

Need better pictures to assess—no mirror selfies. Camera should be level and roughly chest height. Show the jacket buttoned and unbuttoned.
