Incredible shoes!!! What style number, last, color, etc? Given how we you’ve cared for them, hard to tell of cordovan or well polished calf. If calf, what polish/waxes are you using?

Thanks! Can’t remember the style number, color is “burdeos”, rain last. And this is box calf, I use burgundy cream from Saphir.

Arrive today. Wholecut Oxford boots with Burgundy Museum calf in Buger last. Long looking and great fitting. Same size as Rain last.Great last for formal shoes and no need size up or down.

maybe its the nature of CXL leather itself? I m not familiar with this leather but I read that its a very sensitive leather prone to scratches etc and has natural variances. In their defense maybe its just the nature of the leather. It looks great from a distance.

Definitely not the CXL. This is another pair of CXL boots from another brand that look nothing like that. The belt is also CXL, but after about 1.5 years of use. I also have a pair of 19 year old Timberland boat shoes made from #8 CXL that have aged greatly, but do have a nick in them.

New Carmina offering from Kirby looks good but on the expensive side for hatch grain leather. I wonder if Carmina will charge the same for using that leather

Really nice makeup. I'm tempted, but $695 is pushing it, even with JR soles. That's not too far from starting shell prices.
