Can tailors add collar pockets to my shirts?

I apologize if this topic already exists but I did an extensive search and found nothing relevant to my inquiry.

First of all, I love my Wurkin Stiffs (yes, you heard that right :). However, some of my shirts don't have collar pockets (especially those I ordered from Modern Tailor). Will it be possible for tailors to alter these shirts and add collar pockets?

Thanks and please excuse a newbie.

Rather an unhelpful post.

What is a "collar pocket" when it is at home and

Where do you expect the extra material to come from to create it?

This sounds like it should be possible; you may need to use non-matching fabric for the extra piece that is required, but since it's on the under-side of the collar anyway nobody should be able to see it.

I think he's referring to the little "pocket" of cloth under the tips of the collar that you slide collar stays into.

Thank you, that's what i was referring to.

I guess not all is lost, there's no harm in trying, i'll bring a few of my shirts to my tailor tomorrow and we'll see what happens.

Thanks y'all, will post an update if I can.

Of course, if you're ordering shirts from Modern Tailor, they have an option for removable collar stays. In future, just specify that and you're good. Never tried to retrofit a shirt with them, though. Good luck with that. I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard. Hardest part will be matching the shirt fabric after the fact.

I am aware that MT does have the option for removable collar stays, but I opted out because I thought I would only be wearing them WITH a tie. Now, I would like to wear them WITHOUT a tie and wanted the collar pockets. Also, I really don't mind if the shirt fabric and the collar pocket match because nobody should be able to see it anyhow :)

I'll share this in case someone has the same question. I talked to my tailor and he said he never adds this pocket BUT he adds some really small buttons that keep the collar in place
