Bow-tie and extreme spread/cutaway collars?

I have been searching the web for a decent looking red/white/blue gingham shirt, and I seem to have found one here: http://www.shopspectre.com/collecti...n-shirts-fitted-shirts-red-white-blue-gingham.

The only problem is, this is something I would very much like to be able to wear a bow-tie with at some point. Though listed as having a "cutaway" collar, it seems to my amateur eyes to be more on the extreme end of a spread collar. Any thoughts on this combination?

Well, the collar shown is a cutaway collar, which is on the extreme end of spread collars. Though they have their devotees, I find them difficult to work with. A bow tie ( which I often wear) will not work well with a cutaway collar. The shirt fabric is nice, but would , be,I think, hard to match with most bow ties.
A shirt made up in a smaller scale graph check in blue and red might be a good choice for you. It would allow you to wear many
different ties ( bows or long) with it easily.
