Anyone watch Reno 911?

What was the real reason Johnson, Kimball, and Garcia weren't back for the fifth season? The show says they all died in the explosion but were their contracts not renewed or did they just not want to come back?

I remember reading the forums on tv.com and someone found the blog of the woman who plays Johnson and there was a post saying she wasn't asked to come back.

I could believe that about Kimball and maybe Johnson, but Garcia come on, he was probably the funniest character.

That's some BS. I liked Clemmie. If only for the cleavage. But the episode where she got married to Steed was hilarious.

Kimball was hit or miss. The one where her and dangle found the stuffed rabbits with the coke was probably her only good episode.

Ian Roberts, one of the founders of Upright Citizens Brigade, is a total score for that cast. He is one of the funniest (and famousist) guys in sketch comedy circles and everybody wants to work with him. I think they lucked out. If they had to cut a few characters to pay his salary then that was money well spent.

Still not even hot at all. But she is funny, which counts for something.

Have not watched this season. I think I have the first few on DVD and they are just so funny.

The one where Trudy hooks up with the serial killer is a classic. "I make my own meats!"

Garcia was the voice for the Chihuahua in the Taco Bell commercials (Yo quiero Taco Bell) and his stand-up sucks. His sketch is worse. Roberts might be able to bring in Matt Walsh also according to an overheard conversation at the UCB/ASSSSSSCAT theater in LA. A hybrid of the performers from the State and UCB would be the re-invention of comedy.

It's almost a State reunion now. Dangle, Trudy, Junior, at least two of the new guys....

For anyone into the behind the scenes stuff, the people who play Dangle and Trudy are the creators of the show, which might explain why they get a lot of camera time.

Not terribly impressed with the new season or the new characters. I did notice that Cedric Yarbrough (Jones) has gained a lot of weight.

The whole show is improvised on a loose script and there are members from two of the most renowned sketch comedy shows ever in the cast, I'm not talking SNL or SCTV **** either, not even Second City. Real deal.

Kimball just didn't work out that well in my opinion, but she was okay. Clemmie was never one of my favorites, but Garcia was. I'd be surprised if he was actually not asked to return...his chemistry as both friend and antagonist to Jones was great. I've seen two or three of the new ones are okay...maybe the just need a bit more time to get into the groove.
