Well StyFolks, I walked into a nice deal on these hoping they would fit. They did not. So I'm paying em forward.
Here are a great pair of used-but-not-abused Alden Split-Toe Norwegian Oxfords in black shell cordovan. Aberdeen last. Marked 11.5 AAA/A and they are in fact narrow much to my everlasting chagrin. Oh well.
Condition is very good, there is patina and a few rough spots (mainly around the heels). I think they would clean up nicely or you can ride the patina if you like.
Issues of note are the usual wear to the soles and heels (although they seem to have decent life left the sole stitching has begun to disappear on the toe of the one shoe and the other is likely not far behind). The heel leather has the inevitable scuffs which I'm sure can be cleaned up with a general shell treatment. There is a mysterious small puncture in one heel next to the seam. See photos - I'm confident that I've captured the general shape of these shoes and included all the specifics trouble spots. Any questions please feel free to pm or reply in thread.
As far as styling these, I don't consider these a dress shoe so I appreciate the patina. I'd probably not wear these with jeans unless they were grey or black but I would definitely wear with all manner of slim chinos. Really, though, if you dig black leather shoes these are an amazing go-to.
Paypal only. No returns. Price includes shipping anywhere in the US (via USPS Priority). Reasonable offers welcome!
Peace!
