    SWD Discussion Thread for Tailoring

I mean yes to following your own style. My partner showed me a post in insta showing that actually, the "timeless" or "classic style" of the 2000s and 2010s has aged far worse than the more directional/fashiony clothes.

Mark Owen from Take That in the loose fitting grey suit on the right. Great look IMO.

This suit is great, is the fabric a cotton drill or canvas or something?

Random Fashion Thoughts (Part 3: Style farmer strikes back) - our general discussion thread

I'm not gonna pretend I don't buy things on sale because I clearly do...and maybe this is going to sound completely out of touch with the cost of living etc. ...but the angst about paying full retail completely disappears when you remove all fashion adjacent copywriting think from your brain...

I don't know what you're doing with your patients Bene but I sure hope it's not sleazy

Match your socks to your trousers, this is too jarring with low profile shoes. I personally dislike the loafers here anyway and would prefer something like a burgundy longwing. The loafers would be nice in a more sleezy outfit.

This is such a nice coat and I get that you're on your way to work in your scrubs but please just put on some shoes or boots rather than the Salomons for this fit

    SWD Discussion Thread for Tailoring

I really like the idea of repurposing orphaned suit jackets but ideally it would be slightly subverted. seems like a kinda margiela type thing to do.

I would have worn it differently for sure, but nevergreen has his own style and I think it looks good. I can't help but think of Jonathan Richman whenever I see nevergreen's fits
