I prefer the Vibram sole on the EG collab to the heeled crepe that you’d traditionally find on those models, the D rings are a nice touch too.

I like them, they’re pretty lowkey though, particularly once the kilties are removed, which is what I’d likely do if I got a pair.

I went L with those exact same trousers when I can usually get away with M, I like the looseness in the thigh, waist, like yours is slightly big but fine with a belt and no obvious bunching. I do need them shortening but want to wear and wash a few times to ensure there’s no natural shrinkage...

If they’re too big in the waist, that’s when you’re more likely to need to size down, I think voluminous thighs isn’t such a bad thing with fatigues, particularly with current EG cuts/ fits. I tend to take L/ XL in EG tops but M/L in bottoms, but everyone is shaped different, so that may not be...

Thought that might be the case, thanks for the info.

I had to get rid of pair of black EG sateen fatigues a few years back for the very same reason (in case it wasn’t obvious, it really bothers me!). I have some stonewash black Orslow fatigues and it’s not a problem because they’re basically grey so the lint doesn’t show up. It’s more the colour...

Thanks both. I have some moleskin trousers but they’re a light sand colour so no issues with dust etc. as it doesn’t really show on them. Hoping that will be the case with the navy too.

Workaday fit looser and come in the same fabrics each season (with the odd exception), usually reverse sateen. Mainline tend to fit slimmer and come in fabrics that match that season’s collection, there’s usually a ripstop but the selection of fabrics is much broader with mainline than Workaday.

Does anyone have anything from last season in the navy moleskin? Is it a dust/ lint magnet? I’m eyeing up the Bedford in that make-up but can’t try on in person, if it shows up every speck of dust then that’s a deal-breaker for me.

Yeah, you want to go for a medium in pants. I buy from Kafka and The Bureau, primarily, but I’m based in the U.K.

You’re always going to have to rely on someone else’s measurements whether you buy from a shop or a private seller, and seeing the same item with different measurements at different shops should tell you that even the retailers don’t always know what they’re doing.

I have to admit, I do find the increasing amount of synthetic fabrics off-putting. I remember reading an interview with Angelo Urrutia and he talked about how he liked the contrast between items made from natural materials vs synthetics in an outfit. I know he’s not designing for EG anymore and...

I was gently making fun of all the questions you ask as it’s becoming a frequent occurrence- it seems like there are a bunch of menswear rules that you think you need to adhere to when that’s not the case. Wear what you want.

I think this combo is fine, the FAs in ripstop are less in your face than the cord. I think my issue is more with the fabric of mine, the large wale, combined with the sand colour of the cord makes them feel a bit frumpy. I just get a turdy-90s-music-festival-clothes vibe from them (in a bad...

I mean, I don’t hate them but I’ve found that I struggle to pair them with anything other than very plain tops. Plus, once I’m done putting together an outfit with the FAs, I look in the mirror and feel a little underwhelmed and when you’re wearing £400 trousers, you probably shouldn’t feel...

I like the idea far more than the reality- the pockets create a silhouette that just doesn’t seem to work for me.
