Unfunded Liabilities: a/k/a The Cloth Thread

What about wool/silk/linen for a summer wedding jacket? Maybe from the Loro Piana bunch. https://www.permanentstyle.com/2023/05/a-guide-to-wool-silk-linens-mixes-colours-bunches.html

Spier and Mackay Camel Wool/Cashmere Jacket

A barely worn size 42S camel cashmere/wool blend sports jacket from S&M. The cloth feels sumptuous and butter soft with the addition of cashmere. The color looks more like a dark brown than camel to me, which makes it a bit more versatile. It's truly a luxurious addition to your wardrobe for...

For this bespoke raincoat, the lapel was originally shorter and after wearing it for a while I found that I actually like it better when the lapel is longer rolled down to the belt. What do you guys think. And this is Cotten ventile, should I iron it to adjust the lapel or ask the tailor?

How do the 11oz weight feel in the summer. Does it wear hot?

Going to commission a navy hopsack jacket for the summer. Any recommendations for the fabrics? I know there’s the oyster bunch from Harrison’s, but it’s 13 oz. I wonder if that’s too heavy and would look too formal to be a standalone jacket.

I too also find side adjuster don work wait with flannels and thicker fabrics. I think maybe a side button adjuster instead of the standard could be a bit more useful in that case.

Was thinking about seeing zizolfi on his nyc trunk. Does he speak English? I think some of the Italian tailors are a bit hard to talk to in terms inquiries regarding fabrics… my Italian is very broken

Hey guys, looking for some ideas for heavier weight cashmere cloth for a navy sports jacket. The only ones I know are Piacenza and Loro piana. Are those the ones I should look at or are there any other bunches worth considering?

2nd fitting from Solito NYC trunk show. Taking in the shoulders and waist a bit. Otherwise fit looks pretty good to me?? Fabric is some navy 320gsm twill wool fabric from his vintage pile.. it’s actually got a quite textured twill pattern to it which I liked.

Finally got a first hand experience with the maison hellard linen swatches. It feels truly fantastic and unlike how Irish linen feels. Any one know how it wears and wrinkles compared to Irish linen?

Agreed, I found the his Ig and YouTube to be actually semi informative regarding style and even investment banking (lol).. but really don’t like how he down talks all the other tailors.
