Viberg Boots - Reviews, appreciation, news - share yours

Before I consider listing them elsewhere, I thought I'd see if there's any interest in a pair of Viberg hikers that I have. They were made for The Bureau Belfast a couple of years ago: Black Unicorn Roughout on Black Gloxi-Cut Sole. Size 10.5. Completely deadstock, never worn outside. Too...

If anyone is interested, I have a pair of the FW17 suede Virgils (Camel, Size 11) available. I have worn them outside only once. They're too nice to sit, unworn, in a box. I'll consider any reasonable offer.

Does anyone here have personal experience with the Strabler Antique Riders Jacket from several years ago? In particular, did Visvim use alpha sizing then, instead of the numeric sizing that I'm used to? If so, would an XL likely correspond to a size 4? Did it fit relatively TTS? Thanks.

For those keeping track, you can add me to the "maybe in" category. The closer the GMTO boot looks to the photo that ShootthePier posted a few pages back (I think it's page 1206), the more likely I am to participate. Yes, that means I prefer the cap toe. I'm not concerned about the heel...

Does anyone here have the grey calf derbies? If so, what belt do you wear with them? The grey calf looks like an interesting leather that should age nicely and show some brown/olive tones. My lack of a suitable belt is keeping me from giving them a try. Thanks.

Thanks very much for the advice. I decided to try the size 10.5 since there was one available, and I think it is the right size. A size 11 might be slightly better for my right foot, but it would probably be too long for my left. I'm counting on the break-in process to help. So, I ended up...

I'm looking at a pair of Skagways and would love to get some sizing advice. I know the consensus is that they run a little big. For the record, I wear a US11 for the Virgil and Armiger, but I wear a US10 in 7-hole and Grizzly (though a 10.5 might have been a slightly better fit for that one)...

I really wanted to get the Cabourn chukka, but Drew at Viberg told me that it was a very small order. There were only 2 size 10s (that didn't make it onto the website) and 1 size 11. Nothing in my size (10.5) or larger than 11. Fok, is there any reason why we couldn't copy that chukka, minus...

Here are a few more pictures. I've done the best I can with my iPhone (the only digital camera I have) to capture the color. I'd say that it tends a little more toward khaki-olive than green-olive, if that helps. They really are great boots. If I were a little more confident that I could...

I received the Lost&Found olive nubuck service boot today, and, unfortunately, I think I'm going to return them (I took a chance on the sizing). Before I do, however, I thought I'd see if anyone here is interested. Size 11 on the 2030 last.

For those interested, sizes 8.5 and 9 are currently available on the Context website.

Viberg for Styleforum GMTO Pre-orders available now until August 16.

I'm fairly new to Viberg, but I've been lurking this thread to follow the make-ups for the unicorn roughout (I'm a sucker for unique leathers). I'd like to add support for the version using the 1035 last. I'll also join those who have suggested a discussion for an all-black boot. Finally...

    Nigel Cabourn

The duffle is definitely a relaxed fit. As I mentioned, I am a size 54 in everything else, but the size 52 duffle is still plenty roomy. I'd say that the photos on Corniche are accurate as to color, but in person it's, for lack of a better description, softer. Really beautiful. The pockets...

    Nigel Cabourn

I'm the guilty party. I just joined the forum so that I could respond to your question. Every Cabourn piece I own is a size 54, but Ian strongly advised going down. If you normally wear size 52, you really should grab the size 50 while it's available. The coat is amazing.
