Pic request for dark green grenadine ties

I'm trying to get just the right shade of green for my next grenadine purchase, and I think it might be this one from Kent Wang (A very versatile shade, I believe):

Unfortunately, Kent's grenadines are so thick that I can't tie them in double 4-in-hands, so I'm considering this one from Sam Hober:

My Hober grenadines make exquisite double 4-in-hands; however, I think this green, while beautiful, might be too bright and a little too yellow for me. It's the darkest green Hober offers.

I'm requesting that SF members post pics of their dark green grenadine ties here, especially if they're Wangs or Hobers, so that I can see them in different lighting and applications. Thank you in advance for indulging my anal-retentive inclinations.

David Hober just posted pictures of his new garza fina grenadines. The dark green looks much more like the color of the Wang grenadine. Check it out.

Hey TB forgive me for stating the obvious but have you tried a single FIH?

Coarse weave grenadines are substantial enough for this, in fact it's recommended on the Hober site IIRC, and I have to admit I have a prejudice against double FIH knots that show the inner spiral, it either looks amateurish or affected.

I do like the idea of a dark green grenadine and share your concerns about getting a good shade.

Thanks for the heads up, HB. I hadn't seen those yet. Unfortunately, I'm a garza grossa guy, and I don't go both ways.

I'm certainly not averse to the single FIH, Ian, and I use it frequently. But there's just no denying the elegant beauty of a double FIH when used with one of David's grenadines.

Very pretty, Spoo. Garza fina, right? May I ask who made it?

Exactly. And since I have a neck like Ichabod Crane's, I look kind of silly with a giant knot at my collar. Would you be willing to post a pic or two of your new KW tie for me so that I can see its color?

I'm getting pretty tired of SpooPoker's showing up to every thread and winning it.

Sure, I'm at work now but I can post a pic when I get home tonight.

Here's a pic of my KW green grenadine. It's pretty dark, just like in the pic from Kent's website. Spoo's lighting is definitely better than mine, but I think the KW still looks a bit darker than the one he posted. This is just a standard FIH, and now that I look at the pics the knot doesn't look too huge, but a double FIH might be a little on the large side.

I thought of that, but the only grenadine I'm interested in (for now) from David's site is the forest green, so I don't really want the whole swatch set. Besides, it would take several weeks to get here and it still wouldn't tell me how David's green compares to Kent's.

Thanks for the pic, B. Lighting's not great, but the tie looks kind of yellow-green here, whereas it looks more blue-green on Kent's website. Which would you say is the truer representation? (See OP for Kent's pic.)
