The suit is definitely (at least) one size too big. Aside from the difference in chest size, right now there's no shape to it at all, since I see zero waist suppression. It honestly look like a sack suit, and for a D&G suit, you know there's something not right. While it sucks to be in a difficult size to fit, it makes it even more important to choose wisely. At this point, I don't think it's worth spending oodles of $ to have that suit tailored, because you'll need a LOT more than just the sleeves and inseam. I strongly suggest that you return it.

It's frustrating to shop without knowing the item's measurements, and it took me a while to learn not to pull the trigger unless I know for certain whether the measurements match my best fitting pieces. Buy a measuring tape, take your best suit and measure the hell out of it. Don't buy anything unless you know the numbers are approximately the same. This is a good guide to use:

If you're not sure about the numbers, get the seller (I'm thinking ebay and B&S here) to follow that guide as well.

You can *easily* buy a much higher quality suit for sub-$1K on B&S or even eBay if you just look and wait. You'll find something perfect.
