What would you wear these with? (Grey brogues)

I'm curious about your thoughts on these grey suede & leather brogues. The price and quality is right, at $99 for Northamptonshire shoes that are Goodyear welted.

But what about the style? I'm thinking they may go well with chinos, jeans, linens on a casual level.

darker brown or navy (black too?) cords. possibly dark wash jeans, but i don't see those working well with lighter color jeans.

I'd wear these with cords too (slim fit), maybe even black cords and/or possibly dark grey pin-striped pants.
El Jack, who makes those? They are some of the nicer grey shoes I've seen in a long while.
Links too please if possible.

If they were suede and calf, rather than patent they'd be much nicer.

MoL, they're from ASOS in fact but I knew that would catch heat on this forum. Sold out unfortunately as well. http://www.asos.com//Asos-Collection...px?iid=1018911 I agree with most of you. The rest of the outfit would need to be subdued and of darker tones. It's also a shame they went with the patent leather, as the natural heel contrasts the suede enough, taking it over the top.

Flared jeans, or oxford bags with a big break. The important thing about those shoes is to cover them.

If they were paying you to TAKE them, the above would NOT be true....

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
