I really like 'talking **** about a pretty sunset' quite a bit.

white lies/yellow teeth is great too.

and the entire 'everywhere and his nasty parlour tricks EP' is a perfect companion for the morning commute in OKC.

Dramamine still hits me when I hear it. I think it was the first song of theirs I heard, must have been around 96 or 97.

its weird that this thread was made, i have been on a big modest mouse kick lately....

no question, my favorite song is "Third Planet" even though i have no idea what the song is about

but i do like "Ocean breathes Salty" equally as much just for the lyrics. so in the end i cannot choose

I'd guess it is expressing some type of existential angst, thats what I get from a better portion of the moon and antartica and good news...

I find most of their songs inexplicably catchy and despite their somewhat gritty subject matter, quite Baroque.
