Caruso has so many models including quite a few that actually run on the shorter side with many much shorter than the Benjamins.

This. One of my best fitting suits is a Caruso, I think actually from ehaberdasher. Have not been able to find the same fit again unfortunately.

I'm not sure on the Napoli suit model - I'll definitely at least be making the trousers fuller, if not just using the Classico model pant. I'll keep you guys posted... what draws you to the Napoli over the Classico II?

The jackets have not been selling as quickly as I thought they would, but those who have bought and heard back from have had overwhelmingly positive things to say about them - I hope a few who might be on SF are willing to post pics and thoughts! I'm quite pleased with them, and was jut in Biella this past Monday buying more fabrics for both suits and jackets. Just still waiting to hear more feedback on the fit and model before making some small adjustments and tweaking the model.

What color and size were you looking for?

I am looking for a solid navy and I am typically a 40L (18.5" shoulder, 40" chest). If you ever have a Napoli suit (or other Benjamin that matches these measurements) I will purchase. I very much appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions.

I'm hoping you'll include a few more conservative fabrics in the next run. As a guy just starting out, I'd prefer to have a few reliable staples even though the fabrics on the new coats look great.

(My Classico suit always gets compliments so I was really looking forward to the sport coats!)

5'7", 165 lbs, 38 chest. Went with a 38S.

It's a beautiful jacket -- the backlit picture doesn't do the fabric justice. I tried adjusting the saturation and contrast slightly, but it's still off -- brown is more golden than grey, blue windowpane overcheck is more subdued. Lovely hand on the fabric, too.

I own two Benjamin suits -- one Classico and one Napoli -- and I'd say the sport coat fits me better than both. As you can see, there's absolutely no wrinkling or pulling or divots of any kind. I imagine the only alteration needed is a little sleeve shortening, and that'll be way cheap since Ben leaves the sleeves unfinished (THANK YOU Ben).

It looks great and you're welcome! I'm not sure why other makers don't leave sleeves unfinished - the chances of having to adjust the sleeves slightly is quite high, so buttons would need to be moved around anyhow which creates more work for the tailor. Plus the option of having functional sleeve buttons put in is always a plus!

No worries, boys, I have so much fabric in the pipeline it's ridiculous. There's a navy hopsack in there in addition to many other more conservative fabrics. I thought only SOME of the fabrics I have on offer are more bold - there are quite a few that I considered conservative! Well anyway as I said there are more to come, but I first am tweaking the model slightly so it will be a few months before more jackets come in (and suits for that matter).

Ben, the styles you have chosen for the first run are not necessarily too bold , they are just not what I am in the market for at present. I can't wait for that navy hopsack to be released! A light gray herringbone, birdseye or houndstooth would be great!

I have also been looking for a light to medium weight wool sport coat with a medium or dark gray field and large navy or charcoal overcheck. Something like this...

I just received my first sport coat. Overall, the quality and the fit are very good, and hard to see many easy alternatives at this price. My only complaint is that the lapels are a bit too narrow at ~3". (I realize it is hard to please everyone, but here it is, I'm voting for slight increase in lapel width ). Regardless, I'll probably get a few more.
