Google Docs/Gmail. The ability to access documents anywhere and the ability to search through tons of old e-mail anywhere has saved me many times when I need a document which I don't have with me.

Google Docs are OK as long as one has an internet connection and this service is available where you are. If not, your documents will not be accessible. Plus I'm not too keen to be storing my confidential stuff with Google, as they allow third-parties, advertisers and government agencies access to my data. Myself, I use a USB stick, so my documents are always available. Documents are also backed up at home as well.
