I'm in kind of a lull, so I'm trying to make it all the way through two long books: Boiardo's Orlando Innamorato (in translation) and DFW's Infinite Jest.

I'm taking a summer Econ class which has me working through:

The 5000 Year Leap
A Conflict of Visions
Atlas Shrugged

Definitely not books I would have picked up of my own volition, but they've been very interesting reads. The class is only four weeks, so after next Friday I'll be free to work on some other books I've been saving.

Getting back into reading regularly. Hopefully. Reading "The Extra 2%" by Jonah Keri about the Rays and how they turned everything around. OK so far. Writing isn't the best but the story is good.

These two books tell the exact same story. But although Atlas Shrugged is twice the length of the already-lengthy The Fountainhead, it's a lot better than the Fountainhead.

It's also possible that my preference for Atlas Shrugged stems from the fact that I read it before I attempted to crack The Fountainhead. I may have just found the second book dreadfully repetitive and her accumulated cliches insufferable. I couldn't read more than 100 pages of the Fountainhead.

Been working my way through the Hunger Games trilogy. I don't like sci-fi or YA fiction in general, but these are competently written.

Just finished rereading Money: A Suicide Note by Martin Amis. ******* hysterical.
