No worries. I agree with what you write.

I just find comments like "shoddy build quality" and "spend some time on this forum" quite ignorant. It the guys posting these comments know so much, why can't they be helpful and educate us less informed members. If there are some quality concerns I would be very happy to learn about them.

By the way, I love the blue Monaco you posted a few days ago.

Interesting watch. I don't quite get the outer day ring but its certainly unique. Since its got a second hand, what's the subdial at the 9 for? Or is that second hand looking thing pointing to the current day?

I'm thinking of adding this to my watch "collection", presently consisting of one orphan PAM111. Also interested in adopting an IWC Jubilee edition, or something that looks similar (IW5454- ugly seconds subdial, or IW5702 most likely in 2011) - minimal numerals being truncated. For now, I'm thinking of my chrono as a US$200 mechanical hand wound: Chinese made. Seagull 1963 Chinese Airforce reissue. What do you guys think about looks? (photo not mine)

Yeah, that second hand looking thing is the day of the week pointer.
The real question is what are those 7-6-5-4-3-2-1 markers for on the outer ring.

^ Maybe they're to indicate that the weekday hand goes counter-clockwise?

I mean, if the order the days are written doesn't give it away

Here is my Swatch Irony which I am wearing while my Tag Link is serviced. Quite disappointingly, my Tag's crown failed to engage correctly when pulling out between date and time change modes. It also lost it's hand alignment so that the minute hand would not be true while seconds hand was at 12 o'clock. Very shabby considering I had only owned the tag for two months.
