Where I think a good point is made is the discussion (arguments) rather than posting photos. Guilty. Should have checked the first post. I'll 'comply'. But as for price? Stupid. My new CW watches are pornographic in their beauty. I've seen a few fugly $$$$$ watches in this thread.

As for the 'Appreciation' threads? Maybe do what I do, compliment stuff you like and ignore the stuff you don't. Just an idea.

Speaking personally, cheap is fine. Price can be style indpendent. What I take umbrage to are fakes. Or, as the self-deluding like to call them, homage.

I want to get a new Omega Speedmaster professional. Can you buy these online anywhere from an authorized dealer? I went to a Torneau today and wasn't very happy with the service. Don't think they took me seriously and there was a pretty decent sized nick in the case and the guy was just like um well whatever.

You might want to check timezone f/s forum for a good deal on a slightly used watch. I've purchased several from there.

I'd rather get a new one so I know exactly what I'm getting. I'd rather spend the extra money. Maybe I'll just take a train to NY one of these days and go to the main store they have there.

Does anyone know of any other watches that allow for exhanging nylon straps aside from the J. Crew Timex one? I like the strap options but I don't like the watch itself. Sorry if this is the worng place to ask.

You can find new-in-box from reputable sellers on Timezone at a considerable savings compared to brick and mortar authorized dealers.
