Nope, Air-King's are still 34mm. I like the version with the blue dial and arabic numerals best. Like the same version OP (though that one is 36mm), it's very Explorer-like.

The OP is nice and a good alternative to the discontinued 36mm Explorer, I like the OP with fluted bezel too.

Hi Dachshund,

Auditeur is correct, you can choose from a variety dial choices, and ask your AD to order the version you want. In the US swapping dials after a watch is at a dealer is discouraged and if they agree to do it, Rolex makes you send the watch to them, pay for a new dial, they install it, and they keep your old dial. On current Rolexes that would reduce the value of the watch somewhat should you trade/sell it later, as the paperwork etc often notes the original dial (and watches are worth more with original dials).

Rolex does not take custom requests. Should you have an outside source modify your watch, Rolex will not service the watch unless you agree to restore it to its original condition.

Vacheron has a customization plan. They will not modify an existing watch, however through their boutiques you can do as little as requesting an existing model be made with a special dial... Or go as far as commissioning a one off piece to fit your own wishes. You are merely limited by what you can afford to spend on a modified existing model or one off piece.

I have also heard Cartier & Piaget will entertain modifying a new currently produced model for a fee ... But it's at their discretion whether or not they will produce a modified piece for a potential customer.

Yes they are Trinity cuff links from Cartier. Dino has a pair as well. It's horrendously difficult to capture all three shades of gold on 'em (white, yellow and pink) in pictures.

Great links! They are amazingly versatile. However, it is almost impossible to photograph and capture all three colors of gold! They are definitely my favorite pair of cufflinks.

I asked that same question here and here are the responses I got. After contemplating it for a while, I moved away from it..... (have to agree with Dino's view).

Zenith is my favourite watch brand, but I'm not a huge fan of this particularly dial (e.g. placement of the date window, off centred logo).

Also, if it is going to be your only Zenith I think consideration should be given to a model using the El Primero movement.

My first instinct is no. I don't have anything to back that up yet.

I suspect it might already have been explored thoroughly.

We aren't talking about the watch anymore, huh?

Thanks for the photo, Frills. My housekeeper caught me perusing it and gave me a look of disappointment reminiscent of the nuns who taught me in grammar school. Yesterday she spied me opening an unsolicited email from a dating site featuring a scantily clad Russian babe. :embar:
