No first hand exp with it but I take 9.5 on Allen Edmonds park avenue & strand both are long narrow & have high arch. And it's a good snug fit I didn't realize you sold vass.

Then the 42.5 U may work for you. It's still best to give it a try though.

I've bought 2 pairs of Vass from Jok and am looking forward to doing an MTO soon via his shop.

Thank you for input Rogerp I take 9.5D US & went with 43 on K last DM shell cordoven. And planning on getting either 43 or 42.5 on U & F last. If you have any input on them would be greatly appricated. I think we are similar size wise.

Main difference in fit is in the toe box. K is narrowest, followed by U, then F. Some take a half size less for F. I don't. That said, if you are a true 9.5D, 42.5 should be your starting point for F. I am sort of a 9.785 D 2/3 with a high instep and wear a 43 in each of those lasts.

I'm a U.S. 9.5 D+ with high instep. 9 F in G&G as another reference point. 43 in U last is a perfect fit for me. But in the F last I take 42.5.

Does anybody own Vass Brown and Dark Brown shoes? I'd love to see those 2 in the same pic for comparison's sake.

Hey Jok, as of this afternoon I have zero debt and this is a 3 paycheck month. It's a matter of time before I pay GTA Shoeshine another visit!

I realize it's tedious, but can some people with experience suggest a good starting point for Vass F last sizing?

I measure between 7.5 and 7.75 on the Brannock, and I definitely have a narrow foot (even more so the heel than the forefoot).

I wear a 7.5 length in all the normal fitting Alden lasts (Hampton, Aberdeen, Leydon, etc) and could probably take a B width, though I haven't tried. I get a nice fit from the Hampton in 7.5C when I wear thick socks.

I'm a UK 6.5E in the C&J 325, though I can again wear thick socks so a narrow would be better. I take a UK 6.5E in the C&J 314, but that's a little short. A UK 7 extra narrow would probably be a better fit.

I'd like to figure out my sizing in the F last. Having read this whole thread... I'm trying to decide between a 40.5 and a 41. I'll probably pick up a standard width for fitting purposes rather than MTO a narrow right of the bat. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

For me:
CJ 325 7E
EG 888 7E
JL 7E
Alden Barrie 7.5E
Alden TB 7.5D
Viberg 2030 7.5
Vass F 40.5 standard

I think 40.5 narrow would work just fine for you.

What distinguishes a "Budapest Oxford" from a non-Budapest Oxford?

Looking for input on VASS F sizing. I have a normal to wide foot. CJ 341 last I can take a 8.5UK snug. Carmina rain last UK9. Branock around 10.5

I am thinking size 43 may do the trick. Thoughts?

If you have high instep, 43 wide. F last has low instep girth compare to, say, JL 9E, EG 9.5E.

Are you sure about your brannock and/or c&j size? Two sizes down seems crazy. My one size down c&j's are easily the smallest shoes I own.
